Sundrops Studios Policies and Etiquette
Atmosphere
As a courtesy to Clients and Staff, please turn off cell phones and pagers during your visit. Your appointment time has been set aside for you so please conduct all business and personal matters before or after your appointment.
Appointment Times
Your time is important to us and we are committed to offering a reliable time table for Clients and Technicians. Our scheduling is designed according to service in order to alleviate waiting for all Clients. Each booking includes time allotted to thoroughly clean the room and set up for the next Client. If you know ahead of time that you will be late, please call in as soon as possible and we will make every effort to accommodate you. Please understand that if you arrive late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.
Be prepared for your appointment. Remove jewelry, tie hair back if necessary, and remove make up and/or deodorant. To keep our schedule running on time, please arrive early for your appointment if it is necessary for you to do any of the above while you are here.
Cancellations
Please be courteous to our Technicians and Clients by providing a minimum of 24 hours notice for any change or cancellation for your appointment time. Failure to cancel within the required time and/or missed appointments may be subject to a fee up to the full price of the scheduled service. Those Clients may need to secure further appointments with a credit card.
Children
Children are not allowed in the spray room. Whenever possible, a member of the Sundrops Team would be happy to assist our Clients by watching children in the reception area. As this is not always possible or ideal, we ask that you make appropriate arrangements during your visit.
Clients Under 18
Sundrops Studios does not provide services for anyone under 15 years of age. Clients under 18 must wear the top and bottom of their choice while in the spray tanning room. Disposable spa underwear may be provided for you if necessary. A Parent or Guardian’s signature is required on our Client Information Form.
Gratuities
Our best reward is that you enjoy the service and tell others about us. Your Technician is providing a personal service, so if you are pleased with the level of service she has given you, feel free (but not obligated) to show your appreciation with a gratuity. Your Technician will welcome your thoughtfulness.
Because Radiancy procedures are considered medical aesthetics, Sundrops Studios would prefer that you do not tip your Technician if you are receiving LHE treatments.
Guaranteed Outstanding Service
Our goal is to exceed your expectations on every visit. If your experience has been disappointing in any way, please inform us within 48 hours. We are committed to work with you until you are satisfied. Please note: we cannot guarantee our services if they have been altered at home, by another sunless tanning salon, or if non-recommended products have been used.
Health and Well-Being
When you book your appointment, please let us know if you are pregnant or nursing or have any allergies, medical conditions and/or physical limitations. This will prepare your Technician in advance so we may provide the best service that will meet your individual needs.
We ask that you be courteous by canceling or not booking your appointment if you have open wounds or any communicable diseases such as a cold or flu. This is for your own comfort as well as the protection of our Technicians and other Clients.
Payment
We accept Visa, MasterCard and Debit. GST is not included in any of our prices.
Personal Technicians
To maintain comfort level and consistency for our Clients, the Technician who first served you will be your personal Technician for each subsequent visit. If you feel you would be more comfortable or better served by another Technician who might provide a fresh point of view, please let us know. If there are extenuating circumstances and your Technician is not available during the time that you have booked your appointment, it will be your choice to either rebook or see another Technician.
Pregnancy
Pregnant women have been using sunless tanners for over 40 years with no problems or reports of side effects on mother or child. The FDA put DHA on its list of safe cosmetic ingredients in 1973, yet some sunless tanning companies take precautions especially during a woman’s first trimester. Sundrops Studios is one of those companies. We prefer to err on the side of caution. Before one of our Technicians will give you a Sundrops tan, we require something from your Doctor indicating that s/he does not advise you against the use of sunless tanners and/or a spray tan. We will provide you and your Doctor with information on our spraying procedure and a list of ingredients.
Privacy and Comfort
The Sundrops Team is trained to respect the privacy and comfort of our Clients. Sessions for each service are in a private room and smocks are provided for your comfort. All Client files are kept confidential.
Shower Room
Clients on the go may book an appointment to use the shower prior to their spray tan. The cost is $5.00 and includes a natural loofah sponge for exfoliation. Appointments must be booked a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your spray tanning appointment and are subject to availability.
For your convenience, Sundrops Studios carries Fresh, an all-natural face and body pumice cleanser. Fresh gently loosens dead skin cells without leaving a residue. (See Product List for full description and pricing)
DHA reacts best when your skin is at its natural pH level. Because exfoliating strips your skin’s pH, we recommend rinsing with Sundrops Skinny Dip in the shower after you exfoliate or misting your skin with VaDa Balancing Skin Spritzer after your shower.
